Bicycle Access Plan
SL Green’s Bicycle Access Plan for 1350AOTA, is offered in accordance with NYC Local Law 52. The plan applies to office buildings and requires Management to allow bicycle access upon written request of a tenant. Tenants may request bicycle access for employees who plan to commute to work by bike, on a form provided by the NYC Department of Transportation. The form is available at www.nyc.gov/html/dot .
Bicycles must be stored within the tenant space and may not block egress or ingress in any way. This means that bicycles may not be stored in any corridors. Per the legislation, access is required to be granted only during normal hours of operation for freight elevators, which is currently 8AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday. Please keep in mind that freight usage is on a “first come, first served” basis and as such, we ask that participants remain patient, especially during peak hours. Cyclists are required to register in advance with the building and the bikes will be issued identification or bike tags. Each cyclist must also sign and return an Indemnity Waiver form.
At no time may any passenger elevators be used for bicycle access. If an individual is found doing so, his/her bike access privileges will be revoked immediately. Additionally, each tenant assumes sole liability for bicycles brought into the building. Any damage to common areas caused by tenant’s staff transporting bikes from the freight car to their demised premises will be repaired at tenant’s expense (i.e. carpet cleaning, wall repairs, etc.)
